I am running to be a champion of the people of green bay
I am thrilled to announce that I will be running for State Assembly in the 90th District to represent Green Bay, the city that I love. This community has given a person like me, who grew up with so little, so much; from purchasing my first home with my incredible husband, to an amazing career that helps improve people's lives, fantastic amenities like Bay Beach and the Wildlife Sanctuary, to neighbors who truly care about one another, especially in our toughest times.
It would be an honor of a life-time to serve the residents of Green Bay in the State Legislature
Green Bay is a special place, not only to the residents who live here, but to the future of Wisconsin. The road to a Democratic majority in Madison runs through our city. For too long, the legislature, plagued by gerrymandering, has been a place where great ideas go to die. I’ve witnessed first-hand the challenges we face when hateful rhetoric and petty politics overshadow our ability to progress. It's time to change that narrative and get to work.
I’m running to steer us away from the chaos and conspiracy theories that have seeped down from the state house and bring a clear focus to what truly matters: building a brighter future for our families, small businesses, and our neighbors.
Our community deserves leadership that embodies the spirit of this city. A spirit rooted in uplifting the best of one another, forward-thinking, and prosperity for all.
For me these values are more than words—they are personal experiences. I was raised by a teenage single mother who struggled with homelessness and whose hard work aided by community support helped our family become homeowners. I first became involved in politics by helping my mother form a union to advocate for better wages and working conditions.
Since then, I have spent a career working to improve people's lives. Whether it was my work in the AmeriCorps aiding local communities, or as a Policy Advisor in the United States Senate where I helped to coordinate aid to Puerto Rico in the aftermath of hurricane Maria, to proudly serving as the Chief of Staff for the Mayor of Green Bay where I’ve been leading the effort of the largest community-led neighborhood development project in the city’s history, I know how to put values into action.
I am running to be a champion for the people of Green Bay and fight to build an economy that works for everyone, fully fund our public schools, restore and protect reproductive freedom, strengthen our democracy, combat climate change, fully fund mental health services, and truly invest in our local community to make it walkable and safe.
I am proud to have the support of people who know me well like Representative Kristina Shelton, and Mayor Eric Genrich in this race. But we cannot do this alone. I need your help.
Together, rooted in a love for this community, we can truly make the progress we all deserve.
